Hey Anderson friends!
As we roll through August, the back-to-school buzz is in full swing, but summer’s not over yet! There’s still plenty of sunshine, live music, good eats, and community moments waiting to be enjoyed. Whether you're squeezing in one more splash pad run, hitting up a night market, or simply soaking up the last golden eveningsβ€”this week is yours to make the most of. Let’s dive in!

The Franklin, a new $25 million affordable housing development, is set to reshape Anderson’s housing landscape.

Situated at West Franklin Street and South Murray Avenue, this project is a joint venture by Southeast Partners and the City of Anderson.

The city council’s recent rezoning of 3.5 acres paves the way for construction, with completion anticipated in 12 to 16 months.

The Franklin will offer 80 apartments, welcoming families earning at or below 20%, 50%, and 60% of area median income.

The mid-rise features one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts β€” each boasting modern appliances, washer/dryer hookups, ceiling fans, and walk-in closets.

Residents will enjoy amenities like a community room, fitness space, playground, and elevator access, addressing a critical need for quality, affordable homes in Anderson.
