Anderson, apparently September has decided to bring a little bit of everything.
This week we’ve got MADWORLD firing up the scares in Piedmont, the Anderson Elks Lodge preparing an all-you-can-eat breakfast that may require stretchy pants, and Denver Downs Farm unveiling a corn maze celebrating America’s 250th birthday. And somehow, we’re only halfway through the month.
Add in live music, a little Revolutionary War history, family fun and another warm Upstate forecast, and there’s plenty to put on the calendar. So grab that coffee and settle in - here’s what everyone’s talking about around the Electric City this week! |

The Anderson County Museum says the fountain was cast in 1905 and formally installed and unveiled on the Anderson square in 1906. It stood just over 16 feet tall, weighed roughly 5,500 pounds without its basin and was named for Revolutionary War Colonel and State Militia General Robert Anderson—the namesake of both the city and county. |
