For Principal Matthew Moore, who spent five years as assistant principal before becoming principal four years ago, opening a new school has been a career aspiration. The opportunity to put his fingerprints on everything—from room assignments and furniture to common spaces—has been both exhilarating and deeply meaningful.

"This is something I had always hoped to do professionally," Moore said, reflecting on the journey that brought the community to this moment.

Built for Growth

District leaders recognized the need for expanded facilities as new houses and developments appeared throughout surrounding neighborhoods at a pace that made delay look like negligence. Without the new building, the district would have been forced toward portable classrooms—a solution Moore called expensive and deeply detrimental to learning, especially in a district expected to keep growing.

The new campus directly addresses that challenge with:

State-of-the-art technology including ViewSonic smart boards and upgraded networks

Flexible learning environments designed for collaboration and adaptability

Two collaborative commons for student gathering and group work

An internal courtyard where classes can meet when weather permits

The commitment to student development extends beyond the classroom. The new campus features impressive athletic facilities:

A new weight room for strength training and conditioning

A modern gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, and assemblies

Security was a top priority in the campus design. The new building includes:

AI-based weapons-detection system integrated into approximately 100 cameras

The actual tax impact has also been less than expected because property values in the area rose faster than projected.
