Courtney is the baker, the dreamer and the driving force behind The Sweet Loft Co. She is also a mother on a mission.

Her daughter Ella has autism and is nonverbal. Right now, their family is working to save enough money for an AAC device that can help give Ella a voice.

And Courtney is not sharing that because she is asking for donations or handouts. She is sharing it because she is asking you to consider ordering from her little business when you need something sweet.

Ella can label some things, but she cannot tell her family what she wants or needs. She cannot tell them when something hurts. She cannot communicate so many of the everyday things most of us take for granted. An AAC device could give her another way to communicate with her family and with the world around her.

That is a huge part of the why behind Courtney working so hard to grow The Sweet Loft Co.

More Than a Business

Every cookie cake Courtney decorates, every cupcake she pipes, and every cake pop she dips is work she is proud of. But right now, every order is also helping her family get a little closer to something that could make a huge difference in Ella's life.

She does not want anything for free. She does not want anyone to order because they feel sorry for them. She wants to earn it doing something she genuinely loves and has worked really hard at.
