💡 Answer to Trivia Question: Pendleton When Anderson County was created in 1826 from the former Pendleton District, Pendleton served as the county seat. In 1827, courthouse records were transferred to the newly established village of Anderson, which became the permanent county seat. Today, Pendleton remains one of the Upstate's most historic communities and played an important role in the early history of Anderson County. |
