Anderson County, this week is all about building, growing and celebrating local!

We’ve got a huge 100-home milestone worth cheering about, a local farm already getting us excited for fall and a brand-new kind of Goodwill store opening just up the road in Pelzer. Apparently August didn’t get the memo that things were supposed to slow down after summer.

Tip of The Day

Keep a small zip-top “summer emergency bag” in your car.

Toss in sunscreen, bug spray, a few wet wipes and a couple of bandages. That way, when an outdoor event suddenly turns into “Why are the mosquitoes eating me alive?”, you’re ready.

~ Find of the Week ~

Power When You Need It!

Camping trip? Tailgate? Storm season? Or maybe you just want to keep your phone alive when the power decides to take an unexpected vacation.

This week’s Fun Find is the Jackery Explorer 300 Portable Power Station. It’s a compact backup power option for camping, road trips, outdoor adventures and those “well...the power’s out” moments at home.

Why it caught our eye: Portable, rechargeable and solar-compatible with an optional solar panel... because having a little backup power around is never a bad idea.

Fun Find verdict: One of those gadgets you hope you don’t need...but you’ll be very glad you have when you do!
