Charity Spotlight: Help PAWS Help More Pets

Anderson County PAWS is calling on local businesses to step up in a simple but powerful way—and it only takes a little space to make a big difference. 🐾

They’re currently looking for 9 more businesses or locations to host donation boxes for the month of April. These boxes help collect much-needed food and supplies that support both animals in the shelter and pets in the community through their food bank program.

The best part? It’s incredibly easy to participate:
✔️ PAWS provides the donation box
✔️ They handle delivery and pick-up
✔️ You just provide a small space

That’s it - no heavy lifting, just a chance to make a real impact for animals right here in Anderson.

Even better, they’re already starting to line up locations for May, so if April fills up, there’s still an opportunity to get involved.

If your business or one you know would like to support local pets and families, this is a simple and meaningful way to give back.

Tip of The Day

Start your Easter basket early with the non-candy stuff first.

If you build the basket now with books, bubbles, chalk, plushies, and small toys, you can wait until the last minute for candy and snacks. It makes prep easier, helps you avoid rushed shopping, and keeps you from accidentally eating half the jellybeans before Easter Sunday.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a statewide Red Flag Fire Alert affecting Anderson County and all of South Carolina. Drought conditions, high winds, and debris from Hurricane Helene create elevated wildfire risk. Residents are strongly encouraged to postpone outdoor burning.
