ECS Edition V#45 November 19th, 2025

This Week’s Edition Opens with a Smile... and a Lesson in Kindness

Someone recently shared a story that stuck with me ~ a guy paid for the coffee behind him at a drive-thru to “spread a little kindness.” Except… the car behind him was ordering for their entire office. $57 later, he drove off laughing, a little shocked, but still glad he did it.

It’s funny, but also kind of perfect ... kindness doesn’t have to be neat or cheap. Sometimes it’s messy, unexpected, and exactly what someone needs.

As we head into a season all about giving, let’s keep showing up with heart - even when it’s more than we bargained for. =)

With cooler weather setting in and daylight hours shortening, it’s a great idea to add reflective gear or a small LED clip to your coat or backpack if you’re walking after dusk. It helps you stay visible and safer on streets and sidewalks around town.

Find of the Week ~  A Cozy Cinnamon Classic!

Okay, had to share this little gem I came across - Environment ....this candle smells exactly like walking into a fancy 5-star resort. I wasn't even looking for one, but the scent combo of blonde woods, rose, and black fig totally pulled me in. It’s made with coconut apricot wax (who knew?) and has that clean, cozy burn that doesn’t give you a headache. Plus, it lasts forever .... like 60 hours!

It’s now my go-to for winding down in the evenings. One of those random finds that ended up being a new favorite. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re into candles or just need a little treat-yourself moment.

Food banks across Anderson County and neighboring areas are seeing a surge in demand as the ongoing government shutdown puts financial strain on families dependent on food assistance.

Many local shelves are rapidly emptying, underscoring the urgent need for donations and community support.

Residents facing hardship can turn to trusted organizations like Anderson Interfaith Ministries, Good Neighbor Cupboard, and Belton Interfaith Ministries, offering vital resources throughout the week at various locations.

Essential services are also provided by groups such as the Piedmont Emergency Relief Center, Salvation Army, and Clemson Community Care

The need for non-perishable goods, toiletries, and donations is greater than ever, and every contribution helps these charities continue their vital work for our neighbors in need.
