Okay, October… we see what you’re doing.
The pumpkins are out, Halloween plans are multiplying, and apparently Anderson decided October needed new restaurants, ribbon cuttings, festivals AND brand-new spooky traditions all at the same time.
This week, Pendleton is putting an artsy twist on its Fall Harvest Festival, Anderson has a new Halloween event complete with food trucks, costumes and a new trail, Tiny Feet Early Intervention is celebrating its Anderson ribbon cutting, and — for everyone who has been watching and waiting — Buffalo Wild Wings is officially OPEN.
And the weekend calendar? Let’s just say Bigfoot is coming to Westminster, Greenville is preparing to eat its way down Main Street, and there are plenty of other excuses to get out of the house.
Grab the calendar, locate the stretchy pants and start practicing your best “I definitely didn’t eat all the Halloween candy” face — here’s what’s happening around the Electric City this week! |

Tiny Feet Early Intervention is celebrating a ribbon cutting in Anderson on Friday, October 9 at 11:30 a.m. at 1030 Salem Church Road.
The organization provides intake and early intervention services for families of infants and young children with disabilities or developmental delays, including families throughout Anderson County.
Tiny Feet focuses on helping parents navigate eligibility, connect with appropriate resources and learn practical, research-based strategies that support developmental milestones.
Services can take place in familiar settings such as a child's home, daycare, library or park, allowing families to work on developmental goals during everyday routines.
The organization says qualifying families receive its early intervention services at no cost through South Carolina programs.
The ribbon cutting is being hosted with the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce and offers the community a chance to learn more about the organization and the support available to local families. Read More... |
Buffalo Wild Wings is now open in Anderson at 4629 Clemson Boulevard.
The newly built sports bar is part of the Clemson Common development near Interstate 85 at Exit 19.
Opening photos show a modern dining room filled with large televisions and sports memorabilia, giving local fans another place to gather for football, basketball and other big games.
The restaurant brings Buffalo Wild Wings' familiar lineup of traditional and boneless wings, sauces and seasonings, burgers, sandwiches and shareable appetizers to the Clemson Boulevard corridor.
If you've been watching the construction and wondering when the doors would open, the wait is over. Read More... |

Sharnae needs someone in her corner.
This 2-year-old, 45-pound mixed breed is spayed, gentle and lovable, but a little timid when she first meets someone.
She warms up quickly and loves attention from her people. She is tolerant of other dogs, although human affection seems to be what she enjoys most.
Her scars suggest life has not always been easy, and after only 12 days at the shelter, she is already declining.
Sharnae needs a foster or adoptive home where she can feel safe, rest and finally have a person of her own.
If you cannot bring her home, please help by sharing her story. Read More... |

Tip of The Day |
Give Your Spare Key a Memory
If you have several similar-looking keys sitting in a drawer, take 30 seconds and label them now — shed, back door, mailbox, camper, storage building, etc.
Because six months from now, every mystery key will somehow look like it definitely goes to the back door.
A tiny piece of masking tape and a pen today can save you from trying 14 keys in a lock later. |
The annual festival fills the Village Green with fall fun while putting extra attention on Pendletonβs creative side.
