Anderson County Council approved a proposed $300.1 million budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 with no property tax increase and a two percent raise for county employees.

South Carolina has become the first East Coast state to adopt a Stop As Yield bicycle law, allowing cyclists to treat stop signs as yield signs and proceed through red lights after stopping when safe.
