Anderson, the candy buckets are ready, the costumes are waiting, and the countdown to Halloween is ON!
We've reached that magical time of year when pumpkins are everywhere, chocolate mysteriously disappears from the pantry, and somebody in the family is still deciding what costume to wear. But there's more brewing around the Electric City than spooky-season fun!
This week, we're diving into big improvements coming to Broadway Lake, where a $1.08 million investment is set to make getting out on the water even better. We're also reminding everybody that Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 1—so yes, you get an extra hour of sleep, but the sun apparently has other plans for your evenings!
And because Anderson never runs out of things to do, we've got more local events, community happenings, a fresh trivia challenge, and your weekly weather outlook to help you plan the days ahead. So grab a piece of Halloween candy (we won't tell), settle into your favorite chair, and see what's happening around our little corner of the Upstate!
From Halloween thrills to hometown news, your weekly dose of Electric City goodness starts RIGHT HERE! |

The Five-Minute Fall Car Check!
Before heading out for a Halloween party, football game, or weekend drive, check your tire pressure while the tires are cold.
Cooler fall temperatures can lower tire pressure, and keeping tires properly inflated helps with handling, safety, and fuel economy.
Bonus: Keep a small flashlight in the glove compartment. With sunset arriving earlier, it can come in handy! |
