Thanksgiving Week in Anderson County: Growth, Giving & Holiday Cheer

Electric City Shoutouts

Nov 26, 2025

Happy Thanksgiving Anderson

In our house there’s a Thanksgiving culinary legend that lives on… the tale of the ‘turkey incident.’ It was the year I was in charge of cooking our first big bird. Full of ambition and recipe confidence, I misread a step and tossed uncooked stuffing inside our turkey… before realizing my ‘stuffing’ had just stuffed everything up. Needless to say, our main dish was more of a comedy show than gourmet feast that year. We still laugh about it to this day, and perhaps it’s a yearly reminder that even well‑intentioned plans sometimes turn into smoke alarms, takeout menus, and a little bit of humble pie. =)
