Anderson, we’re ending August with a little bit of music, balloons, fireworks, community spirit and women making a difference - so apparently summer has no intention of slipping away quietly.
Celebrate Anderson is gearing up for its 27th year, the Hot Air Affair is preparing to fill the Labor Day weekend sky with color and purpose and Tri-County Tech Foundation is bringing local women together for an important conversation about what can happen when generosity becomes collective action.

Put a brightly colored reusable tote by your front door.
Use it as your “don’t forget this” bag for library books, store returns, packages, donations or anything that needs to leave the house with you. If it’s sitting somewhere you literally have to walk past, there’s a much better chance it won’t spend another three weeks riding around on your mental to-do list. |

Apparently, choosing one coffee flavor is too much commitment before caffeine.
This week’s fun find is the Bones Coffee Company Favorite Flavors Sample Pack. It has five 4-oz bags of assorted flavored ground coffee and it’s made with medium-roast Arabica beans. Another cool thing is it works with auto-drip machines and French presses.
It’s a fun way to try several flavors without ending up with a full-size bag of something you discover tastes better in theory than at 6:30 in the morning.
