Anderson Area Chamber Celebrates 200 Years of Anderson County with Historic Marker Unveiling

The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce brought the community together for a memorable evening during their 2026 Annual Meeting, celebrating a major milestone in local history: the 200th anniversary of Anderson County.

A Night of Celebration and History

A centerpiece of the celebration was the unveiling of the new General Road marker, now standing proudly at the corner of Whitner and Main Streets in Downtown Anderson.
