Council to vote on tax incentives aimed at fostering local economic growth
The Anderson County Council is set to convene on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the historic downtown courthouse to discuss tax incentives for two businesses planning significant expansions within the county.
These expansions are projected to bring a combined investment exceeding $70 million and create 243 new jobs. The identities of the companies remain confidential at this time.
In addition to the tax incentives, the council will address a bid from the Anderson County Transportation Committee concerning upcoming road work projects.
Prior to the main meeting, at 6 p.m., the council will honor the late Dr. William McMurtrey "Mack" Burriss for his substantial contributions to animal welfare in Anderson South Carolina.
Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in these discussions, as the decisions made could have lasting impacts on the county's economic landscape. |
