Anderson, SC — Anderson County invites the community to celebrate America's 250th birthday at Carolina Day, a special patriotic event taking place on Sunday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Carolina Wren Park in downtown Anderson.

 

Hosted by Anderson County South Carolina 250 (AC SC250), this community celebration is part of the nationwide commemoration marking 250 years since the founding of the United States. The event promises an afternoon of family-friendly activities that honor the past while celebrating the future.

 

What to Expect at Carolina Day

 

Attendees will enjoy a vibrant lineup of activities and entertainment:

 

Live Patriotic Music — The GAMAC Electric City Big Band will perform classic American tunes that celebrate the spirit of the nation

 

Historical Reenactors — Step back in time with living history demonstrations and experiences from the Revolutionary era

 

Indigo Art Demonstration — Watch artist Kristy Bishop showcase the traditional craft of clay resist indigo dyeing

 

Children's Activities — Games, crafts, and hands-on experiences designed for young patriots

 

Anderson County Library Bookmobile — Browse books and resources from the Anderson County Library

 

Food & Treats — Enjoy delicious offerings from Taste of Freedom and Sunset Slush food trucks

 

Special Bell Tribute at 2:50 PM

 

A highlight of the afternoon will be the SC250 Bell Tribute at 2:50 PM, featuring 25 rings of the bell in honor of America's 250th anniversary. This symbolic moment will bring the community together in a shared celebration of American history and heritage.
