Anderson, SC — This year marks a significant milestone for Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County as the organization celebrates both its 40th anniversary and the construction of its 100th home. The community is invited to join the celebration on Thursday, August 13, at the Habitat ReStore located at 210 S. Murray Avenue.

A Celebration Four Decades in the Making

Since its founding, Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County has been dedicated to building affordable housing and strengthening communities throughout the area. What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a cornerstone organization that has provided safe, decent housing for 100 families in Anderson County.

"This celebration is about the community that made this possible," said Habitat Anderson representatives. "For 40 years, volunteers, donors and partner families have come together to build not just homes, but hope."

The drop-in celebration will take place on Thursday, August 13 at the Habitat ReStore on South Murray Avenue. Attendees can stop by anytime during the event to enjoy:

100th Home and Senior Cottage Program

In addition to the 40th anniversary, Habitat Anderson is celebrating another major achievement: the construction of their 100th home. This milestone marks the launch of their new Senior Cottage program, designed to address the housing needs of seniors in the Anderson community.

Following the ReStore celebration, attendees are invited to take a short drive to 1737 Belton Street to see the progress on the 100th home firsthand. This special project represents the next chapter in Habitat's mission to serve Anderson County families.
