Halloween Traditions Return at the PAWS Shelter

Anderson County PAWS is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved Halloween tradition, the 8th Annual Halls of PAWS, set for Friday, October 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at their shelter located at 1320 Highway 29 South, Anderson, SC 29626.

 

Families and community members are invited to experience a spooktacular evening filled with activities designed to delight attendees of all ages.

 

Upon arrival, guests can embark on a trick-or-treat journey through the festively decorated halls of the shelter, where costumed volunteers will distribute an array of treats, including candy, toys, and non-candy goodies suitable for children.

 

Following the indoor festivities, the adjacent dog park will host a variety of carnival-style games and face painting stations, ensuring continuous entertainment throughout the evening.

 

Local vendors will be present, offering fall-themed treats and treasures, while seasonal snacks such as hot chocolate and cider will be available to keep guests warm and satisfied.

 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet some of the shelter's adoptable animals, potentially finding a new furry friend to take home.

 

The event schedule is as follows:

 

Activities in the Dog Park: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Vendors, games, face painting, and more.

 

Halls of PAWS: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Trick-or-treating with candy and non-candy goodies for the kiddos.

 

Admission to the event is free, and all are welcome to join in the festivities.

 

For those interested in contributing to the event's success, volunteer opportunities are available.

 

The shelter is seeking individuals to assist with handing out candy (costumes encouraged), managing games, providing face painting, and serving snacks and drinks.

In addition to the Halls of PAWS event, the Anderson community offers a variety of Halloween-themed activities leading up to the big day.

 

Notably, the Monster Mash Costume Party will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Carolina Bauernhaus Anderson, located at 115 Federal St, Anderson, SC 29625.

 

This event promises a night of music, fashion, and fun, including a Spooktacular Fashion Show and a costume contest with a $100 prize for the best costume.
