ANDERSON, S.C. — One of the Southeast's most beloved running traditions is coming back to the Electric City. The Anderson Area YMCA is proud to host The Peoples Bank Midnight Flight 26 on Friday, August 14, 2026, bringing together runners of all levels for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
This annual nighttime race has become a staple of Anderson's summer calendar, drawing participants from across the region who are eager to experience the unique thrill of racing after dark. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun community event, Midnight Flight offers something for everyone.
Race Details
The evening kicks off with the 1-Mile Race at 8:15 PM, with registration available for $30. For those ready to take on a bigger challenge, the 5K Race begins at 9:00 PM, with entry fees set at $35. Both races start and finish at the Anderson Area YMCA, located at 201 E Reed Road.
Packet pick-up will be held on race day, August 14, from noon until 15 minutes before each race begins. A convenient drive-thru setup will be available until 5:00 PM, making it easy for busy participants to grab their race materials.
