The new drive-thru coffee spot opens June 19th with pay-what-you-want days, free drinks and a bold question: does Anderson really need another coffee shop?
Anderson, SC — Let's be honest for a second. Drive down any major road in Anderson these days and you'll spot enough coffee shops to make you wonder if we're secretly becoming Seattle South. But here we are, folks—Seven Brew Drive Thru Coffee is about to throw its hat in the ring and they're not exactly being subtle about it.
The Grand Opening Gauntlet
Starting Friday, June 19th, Seven Brew is launching a full week of grand opening festivities at 2113 HWY 81 N that can only be described as... aggressive. In the best way possible.
Here's where it gets spicy: they're kicking things off with "Caffeine for a Cause"—a pay-what-you-want promotion where YOU decide what your coffee is worth. All proceeds go to Calvary Home for Children. That's right, you can literally pay a penny for your morning brew and still walk away feeling like a philanthropist. (Though maybe don't actually pay a penny. We're all watching.)
The pay-what-you-want schedule:
But Wait, There's More
Opening Day is Monday, June 22nd, and they're following it up with "Community Hours" all week long (June 22–26). Translation? FREE small drinks during select hours: 8–9AM, 12–1PM, and 5–6PM. One per customer, present and accounted for. Because nothing says "welcome to the neighborhood" like giving away the product you're trying to sell.
And just when you think they've peaked, Saturday, June 27th brings Swag Day: buy a large drink, get a free shirt. From 5:30AM to 11PM. While supplies last. (Translation: get there early or cry into your plain, logo-less shirt later.)
The Elephant in the Room
Now, let's address the iced caramel macchiato in the room. Anderson has a lot of coffee shops. Like, a LOT. We've got the big chains, the local favorites, the drive-thrus, the sit-downs, the ones that roast their own beans and judge you for adding sugar. So does Seven Brew have what it takes to stand out?
Here's the thing: they're betting on convenience (it's a drive-thru, because who has time to park anymore?), community goodwill (hello, charity donations), and the undeniable fact that Anderson runs on caffeine. Will it work? Only time—and our coffee budgets—will tell.
The Bottom Line
Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just someone who needs caffeine to function before 10AM, Seven Brew's grand opening is worth checking out. The pay-what-you-want days alone are a steal, and supporting Calvary Home for Children while getting your fix? That's a win-win.
So mark your calendars, set your alarms and maybe bring a friend to hold your place in line. Because nothing says "I love this town" like waiting in a drive-thru for 45 minutes to save $4 on a latte.
