You're Invited: Planning & Zoning Workshop in Anderson County

Mark your calendars! Anderson County is hosting a Planning & Zoning Workshop on August 13th at Long Branch Baptist Church, located at 2101 Highway 413, Anderson, SC 29621, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

This public meeting offers residents a valuable opportunity to provide input on the Anderson County Comprehensive Plan and upcoming zoning updates.

We want to hear your concerns and priorities related to land use, community services, infrastructure, recreation, natural resources, and economic development.

The evening will begin with a brief presentation at 6:15 pm, followed by an open house session where attendees can engage directly with county officials and planners.

Anderson County has experienced significant growth and development in recent years.

Notably, the Planning Commission recently approved the Anderson Lake project, a development set to bring approximately 1,000 new homes to the area.

Additionally, Eastern Engineered Wood Products announced an $18.7 million investment to establish their first South Carolina operation in Anderson County, creating 31 new jobs.

These developments underscore the importance of community involvement in planning for our county's future.
